Manning Police Department

It's time that Manning require a dog outside to be on a leash or tie out. Our neighbors(the winters) dog along with their kids dogs run all over the neighborhood. The idiots have been talked to about it before, but they lie to the police and nothing happens. We recently adopted a husky who is always on a leash or tie out when outside, so if the winters mutt comes over and growls at us or our dog it won't be our dogs fault if their mutt gets bit. Really wish you police would do something about their dogs running everywhere!

My family and I arrived to manning just after midnight on Saturday night and we were greeted by flashing lights as we pulled into the hotel parking lot. We were told by officer Tyler Hoffman, probably his first night on the job, that we were going 11 miles over the speed limit while all 5 of us were positive that we were not even going the speed limit, we were going way under since we were slowing down looking for the road taking us to the hotel.nnWhen he took my dad’s information back to his car, he spent about 30 minutes trying to input the information to give us the ticket and then came back to our car saying that his computer was not working so he asked my dad to step out of the car, then patted him down, and took him back to the squad car to help him input the info into the computer. Once they were done, he found out that the printer was not working either so he couldn’t give my dad the ticket at that time but kindly said that he would leave it with the front desk at our hotel. With all these machines down in his car, you think maybe the radar gun wasn’t working correctly either?nn(You’d think that all these signs the universe was throwing at him, he wouldn’t have given us a ticket. Not the case.)nnThe next morning at the hotel, we found the ticket stuffed under the door of our hotel room, folded in four, and ripped at the top and bottom of the page. We live 1400 miles away and there is no way we can come back or want to come back for the court date. So with the hundreds of dollars we spent driving out here to spend with our family for only 3 days, an extra $120 went to this cop who’s name will be remembered and spoken ill of whenever we are back here in Manning.
