Several years ago I was looking to buy property and build a house near Arcadia. But I have many friends from all over the world and heard reports that there is a strong racist vein in this town. One man told me that the Fire Department would pause if they heard that the house on fire was owned by a black, hispanic, or Asian family.nnI disregarded the idea somewhat though chose not to buy the property. Now that I see the Arcadia Fire Department's very very poor choice of teaching American children to disregard due process of law--jailing a woman cleared of all charges by the FBI and several Senate Committees? Cmon, guys. Grow up. But also: showing disrespect like this to a government official is reprehensible, especially if done by the Fire Department using tax money. Regardless of whether it got laughs. A complete investigation is called for to remove guilty parties. Their job is to put out fires not teach vigliantism and disrespect. I didn't like George W. Bush but as an American would be very offended if they'd done this to him. Shame, Arcadia FD, Shame. Heads should roll.
