Used to go here all the time. The staff was super nice. Miss being a regular there
This place is full of friendly faces and nice conversations. Better than any liquor stores ive been too for quite some time. Im recommending this place to any friends that come to this city . but of course. Drink responsibly
Convenient location. Nice selection of wines and other spirits. Friendly staff. Parking in front of the of store limited. Prices reasonable.
After more than 12 years as a loyal customer, where I would visit their store and purchase 4 bottles of the middle to high end wines at least once a week today, I came across the second bottle of wine that had gone bad due to not being sealed by the cork properly. The air ruined the bottle. 2 bad bottles in twelve years is actually great and not an issue at all. The first time it happened I mentioned it to the store manager and he said, if it ever happens again, bring it in and we will exchange it for you without issue. I was thankful for the way he responded. Today however, it was a totally different story. I took the metal seal off the bottle and noticed that the cork had been compromised. After smelling the cork I confirmed that there was no hope for that particular bottle. So I decided to take the advice from the previous store manager and drove out to try and exchange the bottle. When I explained to the cashier that I was there to exchange the bad bottle and pick up more wine, she was puzzled. I walked over to pick up three additional bottles and the replacement for a total of 4 and the cashier asked me what was wrong with the wine. At that point, I realized that even though she can clearly see the red wine on the top of the cork which should have been sealing the bottle she did not know what she was looking at so I explained it. She by the way was the cashier who sold me the 4 bottles this past weekend. She looked to the manager who is on staff today Wednesday 28 March 2018 at approximately 5:35pm and he asked me by looking out the second floor manager or shrink prevention office window if I had the receipt for that purchase. I explained that I didn't. Also worth noting that the cashiers always ask if you want the receipt after a purchase and I didn't think I would have ever needed it. So I explained that I didn't. At that point, he had a stupid grin on his face and said, I will exchange it this time but in the future you have to have your receipt. I think that what was most insulting is the thought that he would think I was trying to get or con him out of a $35 dollar bottle of wine. It is only a big deal because obviously he did not care or notice that I was about to spend a couple of hundred dollars in addition to the exchange that I'd requested. So I decided to leave the rotten bottle there on the counter and no longer give them my money. The unfortunate part in all this is the fact that I know they are not the owners and unfortunately their lack of understanding and the way they chose to treat me means that I can't be their customer moving forward. I hope that they have the professional integrity to share the rotten bottle with someone who understands and knows wine so that they can understand what they did to lose a customer.
Close to the grocery store a few blocks from my house, I used to do a lot of business there. Pretty small liquor store with decent selection.nnI've visited a couple times in the past month and found that the sale priced items on the shelf rang up as full price at checkout. This happened twice in the past month. When I told the clerk, he didn't have a response... the checkout lines were long and I was in a hurry, so I just told him to forget it.nnIf you're looking for craft beer like I generally am, I would not recommend this store. They have limited selection and much of it is at or nearing its 'best by' date. Try Bernie's, Bridgeview, 99 Bottles or even Happy Harry's or Bottle Barn. I find that the beer is fresher and the employees are generally more educated about the products they are selling.
