Mike is knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and caring.nnWhen my wife and I moved into our new house in Cedar Falls, we began hearing thumping noises in the walls. Believing it was a racoon, we called Hawkeye Exterminating. Mike has a humane approach to capturing and rehabilitating racoons which we really respected. The noises ended up being caused by a faulty water heater, and he was very understanding about our mistake.nnWe also asked Mike about a few carpenter ants we had seen in the house. This problem was ignored by a previous pest company. He explained carpenter ant behavior, how he would go about tackling the problem, and even advised us on how we should screen companies if we didn't ultimately go with Hawkeye Exterminating.nnWhile on the job, Mike clearly paid attention to detail. He spotted a dead mouse in the basement which he disposed of for us, and notices a small gas leak in the heater. He also gave us tips on how to rodent-proof the house, and other information on keeping our home safe.nnMike's knowledge of the field and professional and kind demeanor make him the only exterminator I would want in my home. He has my highest recommendation.

He's a down-to-earth great guy with way more reasonable prices than your corporate exterminators. He is also knowledgeable and cares.

After using them last year for spider control, I contacted this company twice this year and left voicemails for services and never received a call back. On the second voicemail, I even asked for them to please return my call if they would have time to assist me of not. Very unprofessional. I would leave zero stars if I could.
