The Museum of Danish America is a fun place to visit to reconnect with your Danish roots! The museum “celebrates Danish roots and American Dreams”. Established in 1983 it houses a grand piano from Victor Borge, old portraits, and artifacts and historical exhibits from Danish culture in America. Don’t forget to stop by the cute gift shop that sells Danish items as well as from local artists. There is an impressive prairie garden that is worth while walk. As a Dane living in United States, experiencing the museum brought back lots of good memories and makes one feel homesick for the “old country” for sure!

Small but awesome museum! The outdoor trail was fun. Check out the building out back as well!

I really enjoyed the amount of information they shared. However, I wish you could see more of the items that they have. I wish there were more displays. They own so many pieces and so few are actually on display. For this I was a bit disappointed.

Fun place and gorgeous natural prairie on the property.
