Sera is so gentle, kind and knowledgeable! She's above and beyond- absolutely the best! I'll be choosing her again for sure

Sera has tended to me in 3 of my 4 births, first as an apprentice, and then as a midwife. She is extremely knowledgeable in evidence based practice. She listens, and has gently educated me through all 3 pregnancies and births. Her kind and gentle energy is palpable. I have always requested very hands off births, and she and her associates have always respected that. I wish I could continue to see Sera in this capacity, but after 4 babies, my heart knows my family is complete.

I could not be happier with my experience seeing Sera! My first two babies I saw CNMs attached to hospitals and I was disappointed with both births in different ways, this made me look into a home birth option for baby three. During pregnancy she made sure all my questions were answered and that I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision. We talked in depth about my goals for the birth and immediate postpartum and she was beyond supportive of all my decisions. The birth was amazing but intense, she rushed to make it in time since I was a bit in denial about how quickly it was going. But she was there and a nice calming presence in a whole lot of craziness! She took the time after birth and examinations to make sure I didn’t have any concerns or questions, she didn’t leave until she knew I was comfortable with her going. If you want a water birth I would recommend taking advantage of the tub rental she does. I didn’t use it and mine ended up deflating and threw a big wrench into plans.nnShe has been BEYOND helpful postpartum. Some unavoidable medical complications arose that ended up needing an OB, but she helped me manage and track my symptoms until it was clear I would have to seek help from a more traditional medical practice, which I was hoping to avoid. But she still talked to me about all testing and treatment and answered questions I had so I could be sure of the treatment plan.nnI trust Sera more than any other medical professional I’ve ever seen, and while this postpartum complication has most likely turned me off to the idea of more kids, if I were to decide to have more I would definitely go back there in a second!
