My wife is a student at Sawmill Pottery. She never has a bigger smile on her face as she does when she is heading of to class. The owner's Dot and David are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. From beginner's to experts this place will always teach you something new. The pottery community that has been built here is 2nd to none. Don't think twice if you are interested in learning pottery. Drop what ever you are doing and sign up for a class. You won't regret it.

I have been a student at Sawmill pottery for 5 years. I love the community of artists at the studio. Great teachers in Dot, David, Jen and Heather. There is always someone there to bounce ideas off or to give an extra hand in glazing large pieces. Sawmill Pottery is my happy place. I feel so blessed to be a member of this warm and caring community.

Artisans at work!nI saw this place during my visit to New England. The friendly staff explained the entry room was a retail store for pottery items, many created in the next room. Several potters were making vessels on electric wheels, where visitors can view and interact. Classes in pottery are provided, as well as a place for experienced potters to work. You can paint and glaze as well as use the two kilns. In the retail room there is an area with pottery for sale and you can name your price due to what the potter considers defects. These items are still functional and reflect the creativity of the artist.
