For a homesick boy, there was refuge in the Clark Chapel -- even though there was little choice in attending. Chapel in the earl 1960s was compulsory weekdays, really more a pause between classes and lunch.nnThe white marble statue dominated, the honored young Clark as a gallant Knight, likely triumphing over an untimely death. In galleries flanking the aisle, Sixth Formers had precident, their top-most rank divided almost into individual thrones.nnI wonder if today I could find the stone I adopted for comfort. I do still retain the husky resonance of Second Altos, bussed from distaff schools to complete a chorus.
Atmospheric and acoustically-flattering place for a concert. Seats are hard pews, though, so bring a cushion!
Beautiful place saw a show great sound, great show.
