This is the best(and coolest)office I have ever been to. They worked extremely well with my 4 year old son and he can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

The staff is always so nice and pleasant. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my son. They take their time with him and work with him when it comes to his testing.

They are extremely educated and have the most patience. They are so nice and sincerely care about their patients. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my sons hearing needs.

I have nothing but the highest praise for NECHEAR and all the staff. We drive to NECHEAR from an hour away for appointments because they are simply the best when you have a young child with hearing loss.nnClinically they are very strong and we have developed a close relationship with Kristin, who has been programming and mapping my daughter with expert care...one of the speech pathologists begins doing words lists with my daughter as Kristin is behind the computer and I can literally hear my daughter's speech and words becoming clearer. We have been to other audiologists in Connecticut and New York and I can confidentially say that no other audiologist provides this level of mapping. The rest have an approach where they measure C- and T-level thresholds and send you off for three months with a child that still doesn't seem to hear or speak clearly. NECHEAR tries to optimize hearing for now, when you need it most so your child can acquire language as accurately as possible and succeed.nnWe also used NECHEAR for aural therapy and I can confidentially say that Emily and Jess are both fantastic...your child will be in very well trained and excellent hands. They provide a very fun approach for your child that is play, while still working on skills and providing the parent with valuable opportunities to observe a verbal therapy professional in action so the parent can imitate them and their techniques at home.nnLastly, the office staff is excellent. In particular Janet handles our appointments scheduling and insurance. We have had the biggest insurance/billing nightmare when we used Yale Hearing and Balance and I am still dealing with Yale a year after services were rendered. However, NECHEAR always handles billings themselves so you don't have to act as an intermediary between provider and insurance and can focus on your child's needs.nnFrom the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted warmly and compassionately at NECHEAR. Everyone takes the time to listen to you and get to know your child. Working and dealing with hearing loss as a new parent can be full of surprises and lots of initial heartbreak, but the journey gets easier...and a huge part of that is because of how wonderful it is to have NECHEAR on your side.
