I stopped by County Hearing and Balance Waterford office recently for a free hearing evaluation. Was told by the audiologist Elizabeth Christian that I need hearing aids. She offered to order a pair for $4000. She said my insurance would cover the cost. But I wanted to try a pair before buying. Apparently she only got one sample in the whole offiice. One that's not even working properly. Because after she adjusted it and I inserted in my left ear, it made loud shrieking noise. My ear hurted for hours. Not a very pleasant experience.
