Amazing animal encounters at Mystic Aquarium and extremely diligent with safety precautions. Beluga whales, sea lions, seals, penguins, and so much more! We enjoyed it just as much as our 2 year old! He didn't want to leave the whales because they kept saying hi to him! Great day for all ages! Highly recommend!
Leaving five stars for a few reasons, but the main one being the beluga whale trainer, Meghan. She was well educated, unbelievably kind, and very informative. You can tell by the way she spoke to us about the animals how much she loves them, and how truly excited she was to share her knowledge about them with us. She showed us ways to make the animals interact with us, and it truly made for the best aquarium experience we’ve EVER had. Absolutely will be returning. Thank you Meghan!
Haven't been here in years, & going back today was like going back in time when I used to go there with my elementary school. Decided to go there with my children & my fiance to look at the animals & honestly can say that Mystic Aquarium is still one of my favorite aquariums in Connecticut. I have yet to find another that makes me feel a sudden sense of nostalgia. Honestly speaking this is the best place to bring your family & the best place to learn more about marine life.
Fun for kids and adults! 4-D theater is one of my favorites (might be closed currently please check with the website). Beluga is welcoming when you enter the aquarium.nInteractive experience with Rays and Sharks are definitely recommended.nThere are also Jurassic zone if you or your kids love dinosaurs!
Visited Mystic Aquarium in Mystic CT on September 14th was a great visiting day! The visit lasted about 2 hrs as we toured the entire aquarium which wasnt packed. They have the aquarium setup nicely to aid you in keeping healthy and safe. From first entering, you walk through an employee monitored staged room which they check your temperature with a touchless and interaction free, infrared thermal body scanner, you just walk right through. Upon entering the aquarium all CDC guideline requirements are posted and controlled to ensure you and the family, friend stay safe. So bring your Mask they are currently required.nnThe aquarium is guided from exhibition to exhibition by signs, marked arrows and lanes to keep traffic flow going smoothly around all aquarium features. From starting with the famous Beluga Whale which they seem to enjoy the attention - see photos, you will enjoy the sea lions, seals, penquins, Alligators ud83dude09, and enclosed aquarium features.nnThe enclosed aquarium includes a large variety of sealife that will keep you and your guest amazed and entertained, from exotic fish, sharks, stingrays, turtles (that look like Crush from Finding Nemo), rare blue lobster, Biofluorescence fish (really cool) - see photos and lots more. They also have a shark tank so you can touch them ud83dude2e.nnEnding your trip with a quick stop at the Jurassic Thrill exhibition will end your exciting visit unless you want to do the complete walk through again and again and again and, ok ill stop.nnAs for food or snacks not much is available, just a couple quick bite shacks serving hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, ice cream, drinks and more.nnEnjoy! Like if you appreciate the time I gave to this review and if I convinced you to go and have a great day with the family and or friend. Remember stay safe and healthy, we will get through this!
