Mr. D's

This place is AMAZING! Went here last year to get gluten-free cupcakes for my wife's birthday and they were delicious. In the past year my wife found she has more food allergies besides gluten and it posed a challenge finding a good cake for me this year. After calling several places to have a gluten-free and dairy-free cake made, I became discouraged since many places were not able to provide this type of cake for weeks out. However I called Mr. D's and asked if they could accommodate and the did SAME DAY. I immediately got my order in with Samantha who was friendly and helpful, and told me the cake would be ready by 5pm. I was excited and relieved. On a whim, I called around 3:30pm, just to make sure 5pm time was still good and to my surprise they told me my cake was done! This couldn't have worked out any better!! Needless to say, I picked up the cake, got home and we celebrated my wife's birthday with a delicious gluten-free and vegan chocolate cake with coconut filling and frosting. The icing on the cake (pun intended) was that my wife commented on how beautiful the writing on the cake was. As I picked up my order, I saw the little doggie cakes they make as well and had to buy one for our dog. Mr. D's will now and forever be my go-to for any and all cakes! Keep up the fantastic work and if you haven't tried them yet, get there! You won't regret it!!

Good stuff

So, we paid $70 dollars for a birthday cake and it was awful. It tasted like old cake. I think it was set aside for us days before our pick up date, rather than making us a fresh cake. It was horrible. There were also things added to it that we did not ask for which made it even worse. The taste was unbearable. We ended up getting a $24 dollar cake at Walmart that was soooo much better. Big sigh. We really wanted a good Mr. D’s cake.

Wonderful local ice cream shop. Has that old school nostalgic flair on the inside with large jars of candy. Ordered my daughter's ice cream cake for her birthday and the staff did a great job of putting it together, and it was delicious. The price for the cake was so reasonable and there was so much left over. Perfect for a September birthday! Their staff is always nice and they even DELIVER!!!! Some old school candy u cant find anywhere anymore. Nice staff, also has gluten free bakery items for those with allergies.
