My wife and I have been under the teaching and pastoral leadership based on reformed theology for more than 20 years. We have been ministry partners with Lingonier for more than 15 years. So when we were going to be staying in Valley City for close to 2 months we started looking for a bible believing reformed church. We found that church in Pilgrims Reformed Baptist Church. The Pastor, Mark Hogan, is a wonderful pastor. He is passionate about the word of God. He is an expository preacher. While we were there he was finishing up on the book of Acts and did a fantastic job. He is a very good orator. The small congregation is very friendly and loving. My wife and I are particularly fond of the way they set up Sunday worship. They have Sunday school, then they have a small break and then they have morning service. After morning service they share a meal together in the fellowship hall down stairs which lasts about 2 hrs. This gives people plenty of time to talk and share. After that they have the afternoon service. This is all over by 3 pm. That way you only have to travel to and from church once. If you are looking for a church to call home this is the one. The body of Christ needs more churches like this one.
