Love love this theater. Great homey old time feel. Great people there. Right smack dab in the middle of amazing downtown Seymour. They have great shows and movies. The popcorn is amazing. Parking is good too. I can't wait to return!
I've been going to the CT Cult Classics double features at the Strand Theater for a couple years, and I love that there's a local theater that is willing and able to host these and other events. The theater is charming, and comfortable. There is ample parking and it's easy to get to from the highway.nnI'd recommend the Strand Theater for your movie-watching needs, especially for the special events they host.
I went for the Bloody Summer Camp movie event. The theater was adorable, and concessions were reasonably priced as far as movie food goes. The bathroom ceiling was very low, but beyond that everything was great.
Just the right kind of dump - awesome! The best part is that the men's bathroom faces the screen. So you can leave the door open while you go, and not miss any of the movie.
The movie was fine, but the heat was not working and it was terribly cold!!
