Depends on your point of view. The owner calls it BP parity-- but its 25% even if you are on the phone or in audience. Worse-- this is officially the world's slowest auction. 6 1/2 hours to sell 196 lots. That's 45 lots per hour. Around 1/2 the speed of a normal auction. Imagine being in the audience and putting up with that as well as 25% BP. The CIA could use this auction for advanced interrogation because its more effective than waterboarding. But Again, it all depends on your point of view. This is a great auction for the consignor because the owner is getting most of his profits from the buyers. Also horrible plodding pace squeezes out every last nickle.nHowever good for the seller; not so much for the buyers. Granted, they get decent stuff. But ther's nothing that is so good you cant find it at 10 other auctions houses within 100 miles for a lot less money. Advice: shop elsewhere.

Great to work with regarding personal attention to consignments. Fred and the staff go out of their way to make Consigners and Buyers happy. This comes with years and years of experience in the business.
