I usually never write reviews as I feel they are pointless but my recent visit made me write this review and hopefully will help someone save aggravation and some money. I am finally done with Leslie's pool supplies for good. I usually like to support my local busineses and help keep the local population employed but my recent visit to the Ansonia store sealed the deal. I'll start with the coupons I get in them in the mail about 3 times a year and they are usually good for a week kinda pointless for those of us that work allot or travel etc. I tried using a $30 dollar coupon on a recent $300 order since it was expired I couldn't use it, I get that . So I then proceed to show the clueless new hire hey I see it online for $35 cheaper same product I'm buying . This is Leslie's own website for $ 35 cheaper can you discount it the same as the website he then tells me that's only if I purchase it online. What kind of sense does this make ? None. On average I spend around $1200 a year at Leslie's , for the past 10 years. I will not be spending one cent in that overpriced poor business model of a store ever again. I have to order online through the same store to get $35 off. Makes no sense. Anyway , anyone reading this simply order your pool supplies from Amazon or any of the hundreds of pool supply stores online. Free shipping on 90 percent of the products. I order qty 3 - 50lb buckets of chlorinated granuals, I found it online same product and chemical make up for $58 cheaper per unit. If you really want to save money if you have a business just buy it wholesale like I do now. Or just create an LLC takes about 15 minutes of work and you can then buy all your pool supplies at wholesale pricing . Dont waste your time or money buying from overpriced uneducated businesses that are not in touch with the customer. Also, Leslie's might want to train their new staff on customers service techniques. For $35 Leslie's lost a long time customer. I'm not one of these bratty stomp your feet customers who didn't get my way I can care less I have choices where I can shop . Problems like this has happened numerous times over the years and thank God for this country and free enterprise I have hundreds of choices online and even local pool supply houses to spend my money with. Word of advice for Leslie's corporate office - better training , better marketing , and competitive pricing for valued customers . Chain stores like Leslie's pool pray on the uneducated customer . In this competitive market you have to adapt . There is no adapting going on at Leslie's just a bunch of cluess employees complaining how low their stores numbers are #derby #lesliespoolsupplies.
