This school is truly a hidden gem. I don't think there's any other way to say it. Cities like Chicago, L.A., New York, Atlanta, etc are probably what jump to mind when searching for a top notch photography school -- not Missoula, Montana. But tucked away in the northern end of the Bitteroot Valley, RMSP really has created a top-notch program for getting aspiring photographers started on the freelance path.nnI'm a graduate of their Professional Intensive program, and loved every part of my education. From the small class size, to the amazing staff, to the incredible array of working professionals the school brings in as guest instructors, to the awesome access to gear for hands-on learning, it was amazing. For eight months -- 8-9 hours a day, 5 days a week -- you get to immerse yourself in the world of all things camera and business. Not too many other schools can offer that opportunity!

RMSP provides a very professional space to learn. The Summer Intensive program really dives into teaching you all about your camera and the art of photography. Some of the instructors were fantastic, you meet some amazing people, learn from each other and form some special friendships. You have to put in the work, but you walk away inspired!

If you want to immerse yourself in every aspect of photography, I highly recommend attending one of their programs. I attended the professional program during which I learned all the skills necessary to start a photography business, turning a passionate hobby into a lifelong dream. It was a warm and welcoming environment, and the teachers were accessible and encouraging. The best part, though, is the lifelong friendships I made with some of my fellow students!

I cannot begin to say how AMAZING the experience I had at Rocky Mountain School of Phtography was! From the people, to the education, and overall personal growth I had from this program was a million percent worth the investment. At 20-years-old I am in the process of creating a full time wedding photography business with the skills I took away from the program. I would reccomend RMSP to anyone looking to be a professional photographer.
