Aviation Ground Schools MT

This company is a scam. They charged me ~$450 to spend 2-days watching ASA training DVDs without providing any otherwise meaningful complimentary information. At the end of the course, I contacted ASA directly about the experience and was informed that Aviation Ground Schools MT does not have the right to distribute their content in this way. If you want to support the content creators, buy the ASA DVD set from them directly or through an authorized distributor and watch it in the privacy of your home. The unsanctioned commercial viewing of protected content that is this course in full is something of an unnecessarily expensive act of piracy against a proven provider of high quality training materials. If you want the videos, buy your own set and support it's creators.nnThis company and its advertised claims is a fraud.

After receiving a tri-fold brochure in the mail, I thought to myself, this would be a great way to be productive on my weekend and get my IFR rating. I was wrong. We paid 440 dollars a piece for this class. All the class was, was ASA instrument DVD avaliable on Amazon for 165 dollars. Save yourself 300 dollars and just buy those dvds online if you feel this course is worth it. There was a total of maybe 30 minutes of person to person time with the gentleman here over 2 days time. You will have more questions answered buying through sportys or gleim (these I would recommend) , or Asa website if you get the course through them.nJerry is a nice enough guy, I get he is trying to make a business, but I feel this was more of a scam than an actual class. I wonder if the ASA dvds can be reused for commercial purposes?
