The trailhead was convenient but there are only a few spots. lots of litter at the trailhead.nnThere is one trail, but the views are really amazing. Well worth the vertical if you're up to it.nnThe trail was always easy to follow, but marking seemed to go from plentiful to... not existent in spots, especially one critical spot where it forked. Would appreciate better markings and Mike markers.
Great views, definitely harrowing for me next to the edge with 4 and 6 year olds, would do again though. Highly recommended to either have children who listen and follow instructions very well or leashes. Nice to have close by.
Average fishing but very short hikes (15 minutes) to really beautiful views. Take the main trail and your first right at the first split to get great views of black pond and south meriden
Nice hiking trail but a lot of graffiti on the rocks. It ruins so much of the scenery. Also there is a lot of road noise from the freeway nearby.
About a 20 minute walk up to the top of the mountain, and some great views of the interstate a few miles out. There's good cell service at the top, too; I made a phone call. Good sunset hike, but it gets dark quickly. Easy to get to from the highway.
