Great facility, the docks are new the boathouse is new everything is kept up impeccably. The team of folks working her are all super nice and go out of their way to help.nnI was jumping on my boat for a quick couple hours of fishing yesterday morning and a kid was working on the boat in the slip next to me and once i was ready to go in the most polite unobtrusive way said hey i got you bow line. I slipped away thinking to myself wow there still are just nice people in the world.nnTo Scott and his wife i say thank you for operating a business the way it should be run with a team of nice, caring individuals just doing their jobs with a compassion for us all.nnWhen anyone ask i am proud to say I am over at S&S Marina its a great spot to keep your boat.nnThe location is great too; just upriver enough that it doesn’t take long to get out to the sound and close enough to take the family into Hamburg Cove for dinner and a swim.
I recently ran into engine trouble while away in MTK. I texted Scott as I have used him for service for a number of years. He responded immediately and patched me through to his mechanic within minutes to try to troubleshoot, as I could not find any available techs or parts in MTK. I was able to make it back to S&S, while coordinating help on the dock during the trip back, and even a ride for some of my guests as their vehicles were at my home port marina -about 15-20 minutes away, where our trip began. It is worth mentioning this was all over the July 4th holiday week, and come to find out, Scott was actually away while coordinating all of this. It is difficult to find this level of service nowadays.
