Melanie Carr did a critique of some of my current paintings. Her comments and questions were insightful, supportive, inspirational and challenging. I left with a positive feeling about my work and ideas about a way forward. We in Essex are so lucky to have access to Melanie's personal energy, enthusiasm and knowledge and to have her gallery offering exciting and vital and fun contemporary art. As well, she has so many ideas of creative ways to use the gallery space. . . last week it was an elegant and fun dinner theatre . . . this fall I'm hoping for art workshops . . . meanwhile, there's a great show of three women artists.
