Hopkins is easily my favorite vineyard in CT. They have excellent wines, my favorite being the Vineyard Reserve. There is ample outdoor seating to enjoy a flight, a bottle or a glass of wine. There is live music on the weekends and plenty of cheese and meats to nibble on. You also can bring your own chairs, blankets and picnic food. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable on the wine they serve. It’s a great way to pass a weekend afternoon with friends and family.

If you’re looking for a perfect winery in Connecticut, Hopkins Vineyard just might be it. Their staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The wine tastes pretty great. I have the booze palate of a pirate combined with Dr. Brule so wine was never really my thing but, because of Hopkins Vineyard, I now appreciate wine. It’s scenic, laid-back, not pretentious, and never disappoints. My girlfriend may or may not have thrown a pumpkin into the pond there last fall but it was my fault for encouraging her to do it.

Spent a lovely afternoon with my family. It was a beautiful outing. Plenty of social distancing. Music was great. Indoor bathrooms. Wine was good. I recommend spending afternoon relaxing and sipping wine.
