Kids play is now open again and great care has been taken to allow social distancing. Although some of the hands on things have been temporarily removed for safety there is still plenty of opportunities for families with children to enjoy a fun morning to afternoon at the museum. The staff has the cleaning routine down and is welcoming to parents or grandparents who bring their children or grandchildren. A family membership makes sense to those who live in the area because your child will want to make multiple visits. You might just have a little relaxing fun too as you explore or build.
We love this place and have family passes, but we hadn't gone in since the pandemic hit. We finally made our way back this week, and I was blown away. Everything is clearly marked to make sure people keep their distance. They have sanitizer stations all over. The floors are clearly marked to keep people moving in the same direction. They only let a limited number of people in at a time (go online to reserve your tickets and timeslot in advance!). And the best part? They have new stations to keep kids entertained and physically distant. I highly recommend you venture back if you haven't done so yet!
My two year old had a great time exploring!
Wonderful and engaging place for toddlers. Everything is on one floor, but has a great concentration of hands on exhibits. There is a schedule of arts & crafts activities lead by the staff. We tried the paper airplane making and throwing for distance class which was definitely a hit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with the kids. This was our first time here and we'll definitely come again when we're in the area.
Came here with my family and by far the best Museum my daughter enjoyed! There’s so much hands on and knowing my daughter she’s never bored there’s always something new to do! The price is decent and it’s worth it I’ll be coming back again!
