Morris Library

First of all I would like to say that I used to come to this library frequently to print something or type up a document and have always enjoyed my experience in the past. I am a local business owner and field hockey coach in town and today I decided to run in because I was asked to make a google meet link. Never having done this before I politely asked the ladies at the desk if they knew how to do it, they said they can’t help me and can’t do one on ones with me and good luck. Ok, maybe a little advice would’ve help but no problem. I said I may have to call someone for help then... no response. I call my sister in law and she’s walking me through it, I’m the only one in the library besides the ladies working so I figured this would be ok because clearly I need help. Well, no, it became a big issue and I was then yelled at to get off my phone... I again explained I’m doing this for a school function and needed help and they couldn’t help me but that wasn’t good enough and I had to hang up. No problem, I understand it’s a policy I’ll figure it out. I’m finally entering the emails to my google meet and I am now told I have to leave, apparently I’m only allowed to stay for 30 minutes. I’m THE ONLY person in the library and clearly in a panic that I don’t know what I’m doing and I was forced out of the place, they wouldn’t even let me stay an extra 5 minutes. I get that there are policies but to be belittled and treated so poorly while trying to complete a task for a school function is unacceptable. I will never be back and will tell everyone not to go here. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it, and the way they talked to me clearly showed I wasn’t welcome from the second I walked in COVID regulations or not.
