My favorite furniture store. Top quality furniture with excellent service. You get what you pay for and the furniture is top quality and therefore more expensive than the discount or chain shops. However there is really no comparison with respect to craftsmanship. My personal favorite? No assembly required! The furniture is actually 100% constructed prior to delivery. What a novel concept. Worth a trip!

I have purchased furniture several times from Pompanoosuc Mills. They have good quality, if not significantly overpriced. A few times a year, they have sales of 25% or more, which makes it almost reasonable. I was about to purchase a small and relatively light desk this week. I asked the clerk to help me put it in my vehicle and he said he could help me to my SUV but he could not help me put it in, per store policy. I told him I would put something in writing to relieve him and the company of liability. He said the policy prohibited him. I put in a complaint to the customer service, via the web, and did not hear back from them. If you are in the Connecticut area and looking for a good choice for quality wood products, I suggest Kloter farms. They have more diverse choices in products, very high quality, comparable or better prices, they often offer 0 interest financing (Pompy offers none)...and they will help you load the item.

We purchased a TV console from the West Hartford store and after it was built and delivered we noticed marks on the top of the console caused by the weight of any object placed on it. The piece was returned to the factory for refinishing twice over an 8 week period and each time marks would re-appear within days of placing a tv, lamp etc. on the console. We were told that humidity levels at the factory could have contributed to the softness of the finish, which was the best answer they could provide. i would not recommend this company for your furniture needs.
