Nelson Stadium

Nelson stadium is a beautiful stadium. I would imagine in the Winter for football games it is a great location to watch football. On the other hand it is a horrible location for high school graduations. Yet faces South with no shelter from the heat the stands get so hot they can burn you. On the occasion that I have been at Nelson stadium for graduations I have not attended a single function where at least 2 people haven't ended up in the ambulance from heat exhaustion. It is not a good location at all for graduation!

Nice and clean, but no shade.

Grounds are super well-groomed. Stadium bleachers and seats in excellent condition. I didn't get into the boxes. Bathroom facilities well maintained, but a little small. Concessions and general inside area well maintained, but also seemed too small to handle larger crowds.

Great night for music under the stars.

Unfortunately we were there for a graduation and had to leave early as there is no shade and no room to move. I got up from my seat and had no way back because of the numerous standing family members who were there to watch the graduation. There was no soap or paper towels in the restroom and the trashes were overflowing at the beginning of the ceremony. The only redeeming factor at all was the AMAZING Carroll Event Staff who were so friendly and helpful!
