Newington Probate Court

I've been trying to contact my Attorney Correspondent regarding an important matter I'll have to address in Probate Court even after a clerk there said she'd call said attorney to request she please contact me soon. Without presuming anything, I'm unimpressed this Probate Court. I don't have information about the Judge and couldn't know what to expect. There would obviously be a hearing eventually., and I've been politely requesting my concerns be addressed. I'm not about to name names. This isn't enough of a problem to call out. anybody.

Always very friendly and very helpful. Judge knows the law and always issues a fair decision.

Called with a simple question regarding a change of name application and the person answering the phone was not only unhelpful and unknowledgeable but impatient to the point of being rude. Very unprofessional.

This location owes me my money back! I went after being directed by the town hall because of a name change documentation that I was struggling with due to it's age (30 year old document that's been filed for safe keeping, the seal was flattened). I was told by town hall after examination and them contacting probate court that I could just go over and get the document restamped because the seal wasn't legible any longer. Once I arrived, what I had been told by town hall & over the phone was not the case plus the women were very rude and wouldn't do as promised via phone not 5 minutes prior! To sum it up, they left me no choice but to PAY for a COPY of what I already had in my possession (which was the G.D. original!) and then stamped the copy....After all that when I went to use this documentation that they provided and made me pay for, the DMV ultimately decided that probate's copy printed on computer paper and stamped with seal looked like something anyone could have printed and could have gotten a false seal so they stuck with my 30 year old document! So thanks a lot Newington Probate for wasting my time and my money as well as not following through with what you said you'd do in the first place. You deserve zero stars but otherwise I can't leave a review and this is the only one you've gotten. Shape up or ship out and let other individuals who WILL do their job properly take over.
