$5 admission, good for 2 consecutive days. Free parking in the corner parking lot. Plan on 1 hour absolute minimum - not stopping to read anything; just walking and looking - or 6+ hours if you're a reader. It is huge! It's layed out like IKEA (making the most of the space). Presently a local historic breweries exhibit, large permanent Charlie Russell exhibit, huge Montana history section (4 hours you're a reader), upstairs is a blond buffalo and a small military museum. All the displays are organized and well-presented.

Definitely one of the best museums I've been to. Down in Colorado we pay $30 per person on tickets for museums HALF the size of this one! Bring your kids, they'll love it!

For a small museum there was a lot to take in. Well organized. Well presented. A lot of local history. Well worth it

I wasn't sure what to expect- in Montana, you never know what might be considered a museum! But there is lots of information about Native culture, the mining rush, how agriculture developed and also how women's roles in Montana were very different historically from the east and west coast. Tickets are only $5 and if you ride Last Chance Train Tour, you get a BOGO coupon for admission. And while I was there, they had a very interesting exhibit on Beer!

The museum is a good value for your time. The exhibits are very well done.
