Really terrible experience. He came so highly recommended we were disappointed by the poor quality and lack of craftsmanship. We had estimates for lower prices but went with Joe thinking the end result would be worth it. What a mistake! We had two floors in our home done. The first floor included removing carpet, installing brand new floors, and refinishing the existing to match. The bottom floor was installing simple vinyl plank. Issues we encountered: 1) Joe was difficult to reach and when we did get in contact he was challenging to deal with. He never came back to the site after the initial estimate and ghosted us when we reached out about our concerns. 2) He didn’t ask us about stain color or finish, and made it seem like we were crazy for wanting anything other than provincial walnut. Had we not reached out to insist he respond to my husband’s text confirming our stain choice, our floors would probably be provincial walnut instead of the dark walnut we preferred. We had to go to the store and buy stains and test them out on wood by ourselves, Joe and his team refused to support us or offer us choices. For the amount we paid, it’s crazy we had to insert ourselves to ensure they didn’t just complete our entire house without discussing our preferences. 3) The new wood floors have many nicks and corners that have chips. There are areas where the wood does not go all the way to the wall and the boards are uneven like broken teeth or stair steps. And the areas around the air conditioning vents are also uneven. When we addressed they added wood filler that is still wet. Two months later, my socks still get stained when I walk over those sections of the floor. The ones around the air conditioning vents are especially poor quality, as they look gooey and uneven and are wet to the touch. 4) When refinishing the existing floors they damaged one of our floorboards’ inlays, and lost the part that was inserted. When we asked them to fix it, they added a play dough like substance that is still mushy and wet and does not match, rather than putting back the small wood circle piece and staining it to match. 5) the shoe molding around our fireplace was never attached and came completely off. 6) Our initial quote and scope of work included two bathrooms. When they were still left undone a week before our move in date, and the plumbers needed them finished to do their work, we reached out to Joe. At that point, he told us he was too busy to do them. We had to scramble to find someone else that could come out on the weekend to do them. They were two small bathrooms that only took the new crew half a day and my husband and I found ourselves wishing we’d used that crew for the entire project. They were much more professional and efficient. 7) In the downstairs bathroom we were keeping the existing tile. His crew was the only one on site so early in the project, and they used that bathroom as they worked. They damaged the tile and broke several pieces loose from the floor. When we sent joe pictures, he said it wasn’t his crew and refused to fix them even though clearly the damage was done by them due to our timeline and the impossibility of anyone else being in our house working. His crew was the first one on site after we closed on the home, and we intentionally kept other worker out so he could do the floors quickly and without interruption. The tiles are still loose and very dangerous for our toddler.nnWhen we reached out to Joe to come and take a look and make things right, we never heard back. I hope this review can help others avoid similar experiences. Flooring is such an expensive investment, and we feel incredibly disappointed by the end result.

They did a great job at a great price with no surprises. The floors look better than original now.

Bischof Hardwood Flooring is second to none. We had the entire first floor of two properties redone with new hardwood floors and they did an amazing job. Can't wait to have our own floors in our home refinished by them soon!

We really thought the owner was a pleasant man. However, he contracts the work and was not there to oversee any of it. We were having the hardwood floors in our entire house redone. When we stopped by, there were children onsite, which did not seem appropriate. After all was said and done, there was garbage left everywhere, the builtin’s in our closets were damaged, we found nails sticking out along with molding that was pulled off on our stairwell, where the carpet was removed. There were footprints in the hardwood, which he had someone come back to fix after we complained, but the rest of it is just more work for us to figure out. I was 8 months pregnant when this was done. I wish I realized that it was going to be contracted, as I would have looked elsewhere.

Bischof Flooring did an excellent job of refinishing my wood flooring. His work ethic, quality of work and pricing was superior.
