Nice walk in the woods. The trail had spots that were not marked too well need to pay attention. Lots of great boulders (one I posted had an appearance I’d a face, nose smile crooked eyes), beautiful ferns moss. I saw the bat cave gated off. Walked up to the preserve I was in search of the letter box which I didn’t find so I will need to make another trip. Did find a fairy house in a tree trunk. Nice hike for families.

Didn't dislike at all. Presently the cave is closed due to disease killing off the bats so you can walk the trail and woods and read about it but you cannot enter the cave. Not good for children because that is what they would like about it. No other amenities. The history of it is fascinating though.

Parking is the only painful part of Tory's Cave. Once you find where to park, the entrance is fairly easy to find for the average individuals. Four (4) Adults & also we did it with two young children ages 11 & 8 years old. The trail is easily marked, gradual up hills & some could be slippery if it's raining out or if it's rained in the past day or two. SO be careful rocks are like an rink. It's about a mile to a mile and a half to the peak. When you reach the caves it's a joy to watch the kids climb around & explore. When you do look around it was very clean, or was when we were there. If you do go you're definitely going to enjoy it. It will take approximately 45min to 90min on a slow stroll. The down hill was a blast esp. for the little ones. It can never get old even better your not in front is the Dumb down tub... As always have fun & be safe. I hope that helps enjoy your hike... ~Archangel~

My son and I took the short hike to the cave in fall 2017. The cave is currently blocked off from entry due to a bat disease as the posted signs describe. However, the rocks at the cave enterance show interesting rock types. There is roadside parking and marked trails for hikers.
