So Mike A's birthday (a fellow employee) celebrated his 43rd birthday last week. He insisted on Giove's extra large chicken and bacon pizza. Oh man it was excellent! I ordered on-line and picked it up. We work around the corner and up the hill (Big Joe Stomp Box). An extra large can feed four but the three of us polished this one off, almost. I wanted to save one for the other boss that was playing golf at the time. We were stuffed like turkeys on Thanksgiving. Big Joe approved!
As a transplanted New Yorker from Brooklyn, I have been searching for a quality pizza shop in CT since 2013. I have tried several places between Stamford and New Haven, and I am usually disappointed, some places came close but something was always missing, however, I ordered 2 Sicilian Slices from Giove's and I have to say they hit the spot. I felt like I was back in Brooklyn. Would have given 5 stars, but gave 4 for very little choices for pizza by the slice, unless they just have them in the back since its a small pizza shop. Other then that, the pizza was excellent!
Quality seems to have go down. Pizza had hardly any cheese. Disappointing.
Good food prices and staff!
I ordered chicken Marsala a couple months ago and felt that that the chicken was not prepared correctly. I decided to try it again, and just doesn’t seem like a chicken Marsala dish. No mushrooms and the sauce is below subpar. Disappointed and probs will not go back..chicken Marsala should not be messed up if it’s a Italian restaurant
