We took our two month old to get her ears pierced and we could not have felt more comfortable and safe throughout the whole process. Kate and Gabriela immediately greeted us with kindness and sense of humor. We couldn’t have chosen a better place!nThe establishment is beautiful, clean and although we didn’t pick out jewelry this time they have a wonderful selection - we will most definitely be back!nThanks Gabriela and Kate for all of your help, for guiding us through and making us feel safe and at home!

Marks of Design did a beautiful job of replacing stones/repairing an antique ring. Could not be happier!nThe very friendly and knowledgeable staff explained what needed to be done and gave an exact price before starting. Very reasonably priced for such a wonderful job!

From the moment we entered the beautiful store of Marks of Design in Shelton, CT we were greeted with kindness, a sense of humor, expertise in jewelry design, and professionalism that made the entire experience amazing!nnWe went to have my daughter’s heirloom engagement ring from her grandmother sized and appraised. After close inspection by Kate, she showed us broken prongs and years of wear that compromised the setting for the diamonds. Kate gave us three appraisal options. Despite my daughter’s wish to keep the original ring, she agreed with a heavy heart it should be refurbished. Understanding the sentiment, kate came up with a plan to insert a piece of the original metal so that a piece of her grandmother is always touching her, holding her hand.nnThe ring came out exactly like the original in a timely manner with the original metal thoughtfully placed as promised. My daughter is thrilled and so are we. We could not have had a better experience! We highly recommend Marks of Design!

Kate Marks runs a great jewelry store with an excellent staff: Allison and Gabriella, and Maeve when she’s home from school. I’ve shopped there for years, including my wife’s engagement ring that Kate made using a setting I liked with a diamond in Kate’s inventory. Kate also reproduced my wife’s great-aunt’s heirloom ring AND refurbished the original. They’ll do layaway, too: I just finished my wife’s Christmas shopping! On Oct. 16th! Anyway, you’ll be glad if you try them.

I have been coming to Mark's of Design for a long time. Kate the owner & staff are very Professional....knowledgeable & everyone there has a great personality. They treat every customer the same and if they are all helping other customers they take a moment to acknowledge you. Their workmanship on repairs & stone resetting are Excellent!! Thanks Maeve for helping me both visits in the last week. Thank you Kate for an Outstanding job as always❤
