A 19th-century stone barn in Waveny Park houses this not-for-profit gallery and performing arts venue.nnThe Carriage Barn Arts Center showcases local and regional talent, putting on eight high-profile exhibitions each year, four of which are juried and four featuring members and invited artists.nnAll exhibitions are open to the public and free, although there’s a suggested donation.nnCheck the website for the center’s rich array of programs, including workshops in watercolours, collage and gouache led by professional artists.

The Carriage Barn Arts ud83cudfad Center is a New Canaan landmark located inside Waveny Park. It’s a remodeled stone building housing New Canaan’s nonprofit performing art group and an art gallery featuring some of the finest works of art and photography in the area. Of special note it’s open to the public with free admission and free parking at The Carriage Barn or in one of the Waveny parking lots. Open Wednesday through Sunday with special weekend hours, it’s a wonderful place to take the family enjoying ud83dude09 art shows with family and friends. The Carriage Barn is a special place with exciting cultural events for everyone.
