Brien McMahon HS is a great urban School. It is very diverse and offers many academic opportunities. Our two daughters did very well. They took several AP courses and were involved in several clubs as well as being captain for their sport teams. One daughter was awarded two international awards and after college completed teach for America. The other one played division 3 and was a scholar athletic every semester.nUnfortunatley, some people believe that sending your kids to a diverse urban school is because one cannot afford to live in one of the surrounding towns or send the kids to private school. This was not the case for us or for many other families who live in Norwalk.
