Republic Parking runs the parking garage attached to the Stamford Transportation Center. The receipts are marked “STC Garage.” We parked there on a Friday afternoon prior to the long Veterans Day weekend and picked up our car on Monday afternoon.nnPart of the garage was blocked off - probably due to construction of some sort and parking was limited. Finally found a spot on one of the upper levels.nnWhen it was time to leave, however, it was difficult to find the exit due to the blocked off areas and lack of good signage pointing to the way out. After circling one of the levels a few times, I made my way down to the gate. That’s when I learned that there was no way to use credit or debit to pay for parking. Nor was there a convenient ATM to withdraw cash. I had to park the car again, go up four floors and back into the train station to withdraw money from the Chase ATM upstairs.nnI’m this day in age, there is no good reason why a parking garage of that size would not accept card payments. It’s poor service that they don’t. At the very least, signage at the garage should be improved make sure people are informed about the cash only policy.
