I've been flying with Darcy Aviation ever since they opened and let me tell you, the experience is unmatched at any other airport / flight school. Owner is like a second father to me and the staff is very polite and friendly. The planes are regularly detailed and washed so they always look like they are rolling out of the showroom hanger like they did back in the day. Now, as a Commercial Pilot myself my work brings me all over the Eastern Coast and there's always one place I always end up back at, Darcy Aviation. Right when you enter the building you feel like you're home. From contemporary lounge style seating to comfortable couches, Darcy Aviation feels like a second home to me and I will continue to use them for all of my Connecticut flying adventures and aviation related needs. Highly recommend.

My teenage son had expressed an interest in flying. Knowing my son, and being a pilot myself, I knew we needed to find the right flight school / instructor. I met Brent through a mutual friend. I was extremely impressed with the flight school curriculum, facility and airplanes. My son is having the time of his life and has re-focused his collage experience to include aviation. This is a great flight school with wonderful, professional instructors. Highly recommended.

Best flight school around with professional and experienced flight instructors. Genuine instructors that ensure you are ready for all FAA exams that go above and beyond in preparation. Planes are top notch, clean, and kept in highly maintained condition. Office areas are nicely decorated and provide a relaxed atmosphere with friendly helpful students. The local aerial views provide an extra bonus for training to be a pilot or just to go fly for fun.

I am a Girl Scout leader and my co-leader and I took our girl to Darcy Aviation for a tour. My girls had a fantastic time. The staff there was very welcoming to each girl. We all had a chance to sit in a plane and have instructors teach the girls all about type of plane the were in. We also met different pilots of commercial airlines. One was even a female which was a great inspiration to our high school freshmans. They told them their own experiences and showed us films in the theater that they have right in their hanger. They had the marking on the runway explained to them. And if that was not enough. Each girl had a chance to experience piloting a plane with an experienced instructor in a flight simulator, which to this day they still talk about. I highly recommend Darcy Aviation to troops, schools and individuals that are serious about learning to fly an airplane. Darcy Aviation has it all in a flying school.

Great place to go for your pilots license! What set them apart from the other places is that they have a flight simulator right in their hanger where you can still acquire flight hours towards your license if the weather isn’t good for flying!! The owners are extremely friendly and professional.
