We walked down the stretch of trail east between Bulger and Midway. This stretch is gorgeous, and passes by open fields and hillsides. We climbed up one large hill on the left close to Midway and got amazing views in most directions. I don't know if it is public property though. There is also a small pond down below shortly outside of Bulger with rough trails heading down to it. The pandhandle trail is paved and smooth on this stretch, and the hike features many wildflowers. Great to hike and bike on a sunny day.

The Panhandle Trail is just great! This parking area gives you access to the trail at Bulger, between Midway and Burgettstown. Nice quiet parking area with a trail map available, The trail is now paved in Washington County from the county line in the east to the state line with WV in the west.

One of he access to the great Panhandle trail. Watch out that in the winter the westernmost part gets very muddy. It's cylclable, but very slow.
