The Free Library of Philadelphia is the public library system that serves Philadelphia. It is the 13th-largest public library system in the United States. Before they used to charge membership fee to use the library, I am glad all the public library in the nation are FREE now.nnBeautiful & huge library, a landmark in Philly for sure! There are several museum in the area. You can definitely spend a day in this neighborhood.

I absolutely love this library! Its very big and beautiful! At times I need to use the computer to print out a document and staff is very helpful with showing you how things work. And there is ALWAYS a computer available because it is so big! It looks very historical inside. You feel like you are in a very astute and peaceful environment. This will always be my favorite philly library!

I didn’t appreciate the way that your staff went about handling what you saw as “misconduct.” Firstly, I was on my phone reading an e-book with my head down (I was curled up in a chair). And within 5 seconds, a guard (I assume) comes over and spoke to me in a manner that felt demeaning and disrespectful. I guess he assumed I was sleeping, but it would’ve been better to ask instead of just assuming. I didn’t know that head down reading something in my lap = sleeping....”If you aren’t sleeping, keep your head up, we are watching through the cameras and saw your head down and they told me to come wake you up.” ...but I wasn’t sleeping.nSituation was handled poorly. I didn’t like the authoritarian way he spoke to me at all. And watching for my head being down? Is that really the worst thing someone can do in a library? ud83eudd14 Really now.

I love this place.A gentleman recommended me to see exhibition which was amazing.I’m a old map lover and could see it was depicted in 18th.You can see Benjamin Franklin’s city settlement that was huge influence from city constructions of Paris.
