Oneida County Free Library

They have a large variety of books, as well as computers for public use, iPads for kids, the staff are nice. A overall nice place to hang out!

Came here to help a friend complete a task on their bucket list. Collecting library cards from every place visited to show students. I picked this library because I was informed that it was independent, getting grants from the state and taking donations to continue operating. I drove here seeking inspiration for my friend fresh from college. My hope was to show my friend that even with shrinkage in funding and support that there is always a way. We were looking forward to speaking with anyone about the library. We remained in the library for 20+ minuets. I asked loudly if anyone was available to help. I seen a pair of eyes peek from a back window and assume someone was coming after 10 minuets we left. I dislike giving them a two stars and I’m sorry if your view of this location does not match. I do take blame in not preparing and calling ahead to meet for an interviewer or question, but still not helped after being seen. I hold libraries in high regard for shaping communities and molding minds. I hope in the future I can return and get a library card.
