I frequent this library as it is located near my business with plenty of parking.nThe staff is author/book knowledgable, pleasant and always willing to help with searches.nMany seasonal fund raisers, children's hour and book sales.nInside offers rooms to read paper, computers and upstairs children area.
Tried to enroll in a kids program at the library--made multiple calls to the library and everyone there said they'd have someone else call me and no one ever did. Plus we previously tried to find some kids books related to certain topics that our son was interested in--the librarian in the children's section is an older woman and very impatient and nasty. She has no business working in the children's area--the library needs to re-think her employment there. I expect more from a municipal public library that receives plenty of public support!
Years ago I tried to join this library. I live in Nazareth, Plainfield twsp. Because of where I live they will not let me join. I even offered to pay a yearly membership, like $25 -$50 a year. They said no. Recently, I asked again if I’m able to join, still, no. But yet they send me a mailer asking me to make a donation to support the library. Support the library where I cannot become a member?........I don’t think so.nnFunny thing, we visit Maine every year, and I can become a member at the Kennebunkport library and I’m not even a resident of Maine.nnI choose to donate my money to a more worthy cause than this place.
Wish I could judge the inside. The hours posted online were not accurate for the summer. Arrived just in time to be told they were closed. Apparently they close at 1 instead of 4 on Saturdays. Crying child who just wanted to go to the library. Need to make sure info on your website is accurate so people can plan appropriately. We were not the only ones arriving thinking they were open.
This place is awesome...The staff is always willing to help and are very pleasant....I love this library and will continue to support them..They do a great job
