Dealing with Suburban was traumatic at best. It took about 20 minutes or so for them to show up where my diabetic husband was unresponsive. All he needed was glucose! They showed up with no sense of urgency, no emergency lights, nothing! They took their time pulling up and getting upstairs and taking out the appropriate necessities to help my husband. We watched my husband for over 20 minutes suffer and dealt with horrible dispatch personal. Who also was nasty on the phone, impatient and horrible to my family as we called in panic for help. No one stayed on the phone until EMS showed up and was completely dismissive. It seems as though we are not the only family this has happened to, as per the reviews. I luckily was just visiting family in the area, but my heart breaks for those who are dependent on this company.
Aside from not getting to my home until 1/2 hour from my 2nd 911 call. The EMS questioned me several times regarding the time of death. Basically, calling me a liar. Bone up on your medical expertise or shut up. At a vulnerable time for me, you treated me terribly. A neighbor used to tell me stories about the EMS' lack of compassion. Guess it doesn't matter who shows up. I'd better service calling a taxi.
