Lightbridge Academy

We really enjoy all of the activities that our daughter is engaged in. I love that she comes home with so many projects; it really is so cool to see how much there is to do, even at such a young age. Our daughter's independence has changed so much since starting at Lightbridge. She loves playing and exploring on her own, and trying out new things as a result. Since her first day at Lightbridge, the teachers and staff have been so kind, caring, and accommodating with us. It has put our mind at so much ease. We were definitely nervous as first time parents, however our daughter absolutely LOVES going to school each day and we are so fortunate for her to be in such good hands.

My daughter has been attending Lightbridge for a few months and my husband and I have been pleased from the start. The staff in the front office are caring and involved. I often see them in the classrooms and in the hallways, not just taking care of paperwork in the front office. They know my daughter and have been so friendly and helpful as this is our first experience with daycare and we've had many questions. The caregivers in the classroom are amazing. How they juggle a dozen toddlers and still have a smile on their faces at the end of the day when I pick up my daughter is nothing short of amazing to me. We get pictures almost every day of her doing a fun activity or just playing with the other children. It's been nice to get a little peek into her day. We get a daily report at the end of each day on the app with any pictures or videos taken of her that day and it is so helpful in the transition to know what her day looked like without having to have a full conversation and maybe miss something (naps, food, activities, etc.). This makes the pickup so seamless. On days when my daughter isn't feeling so chipper when we drop her off (she is 15 months) the caregivers are always on top of comforting her and getting her involved in an activity. They are compassionate and you can tell they truly care for these little children and enjoy watching them grow! I would definitely recommend to friends/family!

My daughter is safe, I get instant feedback and communication from all of the staff. There is always parking so pick up and drop off are seamless. I enjoy the fact that they have cameras so I can take a peak if I am missing her or just want to see what she’s doing in that moment. She is the one of the youngest in her class but is being challenged daily by the staff and other students so she is reaching all of her developmental stages before or right on time. The price is fair. I’m very happy that we choose Lightbridge Academy.

First daycare experience and worst one too.nnMy son was enrolled at this Lightbridge, Fort Washington PA, daycare facility from April- June 2019.nnFirst impression:nThe location looked clean, the staff looked friendly and welcoming. Management was very open and willing to help new parents accomodate.nnSecond impression:nThings started going downhill after just 1.5 months after my son started going there. AND, he was only going 3x per week!nFirst, when we signed up, since I travel once a month for work, Management told me that we could swap one of the days whenever I travel as long as I give them 2-3 weeks notice.nIn the first month that I requested such notice, everything went well without any issues.nIn the second month, I was denied and actually reprimanded saying that they would not be able to accommodate this type of request going forward and they made me a favor the first time around and I need to avoid requesting such thing. As if they completely forgot the one of the first reason why we enrolled our son to their facility.nnThird impression: Since my wife and I were very displeased with Management and to be frank the professionalism of some of the staff members, as one of the reviewer (Kim) mentioned, we decided to remove our son from this daycare. We gave a 58 days notice by email which was responded to only after we called few days after and left a voicemail to the Director of the facility at that time.nnGuess what, we were then told that we cannot get our $1000 deposit back because they need 60 days notice....UNBELIEVABLE!nnNevertheless, we took our son out of this horrible place.nnConclusion:nI am not saying that all Lightbridge Academy location are bad but this one definitely does not stand out at ALL and is TERRIBLE!nnI would NOT RECOMMEND this location to anyone I know. Do not bother. They lure you in just so you enroll but Management is terrible and really need to reevaluate how they handle parent and expectations.nnJust my 2 cents.nnBest,

My nephew goes here and loves the school!! Little Mike says he gets to go outside whenever weather is permitting, there are sprinklers for the summer and pizza Fridays. In my experience my other nieces and nephews have been hesitant to want to go to preschool but the facilities here are very well kept and management was friendly and considerate of my time. Also, the privacy and ability for my sister to check on her son at any moment is priceless. Definitely would recommend to friends and family for future reference and a special shout out to Craig, the owner who assisted me while I was there.
