ACME Markets Pharmacy

I don’t know where customer service skills are taught when employees are hired! No please and thank you! It’s “ whatcha want” and “ that’s not my fault” or “what’s wrong” instead of “ how can I help you?”

I spoke with Christy the pharmacist on the phone asking Wednesday afternoon about Ella (the brand name for an emergency contraceptive effective with 5 days) it had already been 72 hours, and the matter is urgent for obvious reasons. Christy guarantees me she would order it for me and have it ready by 10 am tomorrow(Thursday.) I called a RiteAid to see if I could obtain the Ella pill the same day but I was told I needed a prescription. I callnChristy back at the same Acme asking about the same contraceptive. She assured me I needed no prescription. I was curious why I needed a prescription for Ella at RiteAid but not here. I conveyed what I had learned from the RiteAid pharmacist to her yet again she assured me I didn't need a prescription for Ella and that I would have it by tomorrow. Mind you I'm already on day 3. I even called when I got off work to make sure it was there. I went there straight after work the next day. The pharmacy is convenient because its closer to where I live, but its over an hour commute from where I work in the University City by public transit. So I arrive an hour and 20 minutes after work. Christy was there. I told her that I called about Ella. She remembered speaking to me and proceeds to ring me up for a Plan B. (Not what I asked for) I told her that I asked for Ella. She proceeds to tell me I asked for just an emergency contraceptive, which was not the case. She didn't even listen to a word I just said. I was very specific. She goes to her computer for a minute comes backs to tell me information I had already known about Ella, information i had already given her the day before. She then tells me she doesnt have it in stock but she can get it tomorrow morning at 10am but that i need a prescription. 0o0 (my face) i went over everything I spoke with her about yesterday. Nothing she told me over the phone was true. -__- (my face) I was in complete shock and utter disbelief. She apologize three times. I had to hurry an hour away to the nearest planned parenthood to get a prescription that inevitably had to wait until the next morning to receive. She was totally incompetent.

Some employees are pleasant, some are not. I have had to wait up to an hour in the store for my medicine. The waiting area is cold. You must make your presence known to drop off medicine as the technician doesn't always recognize you are at the drop off window. I give 3 stars because the pharmacist are great but the service can be lousy.
