I received a renewal notice for my RV registration. The form stated that registration for 1 year was $4.20, and for 2 years it was $0.00. The form was also missing the address to send the payment to. I called the DMV to clarify and was told the mailing went out in error and I should wait for a new form in the mail. When the new form arrived, the amount had increased to $22.70 (still $0.00 for 2 years). It did include an address for the DMV - except that it was their old address, where they hadn't been in a couple of years! Otherwise, I haven't had any complaints with the staff whenever I had gone there in person in previous years.
ive been trying to get ahold of someone to make an appointment to get my car registered for an hour and havent even spoken to a person at all.
Very helpful and friendly staff! During COVID they required an appointment.
Best DMV ! Very helpful, always trying to help get even the oddest problems solved ..
Long review summed up to atrocious attitudes, poor customer service, and a general lack of personality. I have been trying to get my car registered starting in January. The first time I was in the DMV the experience wasn’t pleasant but nothing to report about, just general rudeness. I needed to transfer the registration of my car from Colorado to Idaho and I went into the DMV to get the Idaho requirements to do so, it is easier for my to talk to a real person because I am a hands on learner. I received a form from the DMV to do the transfer. The reason it has been taking so long is mostly Wells Fargo Dealers Services fault, however the woman at the DMV have been unhelpful, rude, and unsympathetic. I finally got a piece of paper from WFDS stating that the DMV had to send the request for the title on there letter head, it could not come from me (this was right before everything was shut down from Covid). I find myself in the DMV working with a more pleasant women than the last but her attitude was still sour. However the dark haired women with the poor customer service continued to chime in putting me down for taking so long to get my car registered. Even after explaining to them how much trouble I was having with Wells Fargo Dealer Services, and that I had received the form from WFDS, right before COVID hit. The women I was working with faxed in the forms to WFDS, however she didn’t explain what she was doing and left me standing there in silence staring at her for 15min. I was being extra polite because these women are easily triggered so I didn’t say anything and let her do her thing. They didn’t hesitate to explained if WF received the fax and they didn’t except it that they didn’t know what I would do. After I left I called WF to verify they got the form and it turned out they didn’t receive it. After further review of the cover form she sent with the package, the fax number was wrong. I called the DMV making sure I used my polite words because I wanted them to help me and I understand mistakes happen. I was greeted on the phone with complete disrespect and when I calmly and politely explained the situation and asked if there was anyway they could please fax it again to the correct number she informed me that , “we don’t do that!”! And she ,”Couldn’t help me”. She didn’t know why WF was asking for them to fax it because that’s, “not there job”. At this point all I had to use my stern voice and ask again. They didn’t fax it but it would have taken less time and energy to send a fax than it would have taken to continue to go back and forth with me. At this point WF has been better to deal with at least they have to be nice to you. It’s not WF employees fault there corporate policy sucks. But these women at the DMV have no right to treat people like this and it is there job as public service people to assist you. I wasn’t asking anyone to bend over backwards. I just want my car registered.
