If there was a such thing as a -0 rate it would be well deserved for this place. The receptionist was very rude and I felt rush off the phone before I could ask a question. I truly don't understand people who apply for these types of positions just to spread their misery on people who are just seeking help/assistance. It truly took away from which should have been an exciting moment. I pray that young lady will experience some type of Joy and become more nicer/respectable to the people she has to work with and assist.
If I could give a zero I would. Staff can’t answer basic questions like if the social security office is open. I misplaced the order form for a certified copy of the marriage license, staff member said I can write a letter and send it without the form and it’s a 14 dollar charge. For everything pandemic brides have gone through you’d think they’d make any part of it kind or at the VERY least have answers to basic questions. Or the ability to send a pdf of the order form. Staff clearly does not want to assist people in anyway.
I feel like I must have gone to a different place than everyone else because my experience was nothing more than wonderful. Lisa took excellent care of us and she even took photos for us! She made our experience very special. We were going to go to the city but then decided to switch to Norristown at the last minute. We are very happy we did! We recommend this place to anyone. I guess experiences vary but ours was awesome.
They don't even deserve a star to be honest. The staff is so rude!! They treat you like dirt, even if you have a simple question. It should be a pleasant time getting your marriage license, but they ruin it. Just miserable people!!
Go somewhere else for you marriage license!! Otherwise be prepared to jump through hoops. If this place is your only option be prepared to have to formally REQUEST (in person or written letter) a certificate copy for an additional fee! Other counties automatically send it once the proper paper work is received which typically takes a week! My overall experience with the office is mixed. They are pleasant enough, but probably understaffed . I will say they were prompt with their reply after I inquired about the status of our certificate, but the voicemail left was rather presumptive and slightly condescending. They insisted I was informed about following up for certificates which I absolutely was not . So a tip to newlyweds hoping to deposit checks or change your name, be prepared wait. And consider looking at bucks county . A few of my friends recently got married and had no issues
