Kootenai County Driver License Office

Just moved and had to update my license. The lady that helped me was super nice, and the process wasn't too bad. The reason why I'm doing 4 stars is because the app to set an appointment is weird, if you call you probably won't get anyone, and I struggled to find information on the website. For work I'm used to searching random company websites to find specific info, but even I had a difficult time ud83dude05.

I just called to inquire how to renew my Idaho drivers license. I live half of the year in Montana and the rest of the year in Idaho, so my situation is a little different. I live in employee housing in Montana but have a permanent Idaho address. I work and pay taxes in both states. The lady over the phone refused to hear me out when trying to explain this, and was insanely rude and short with me. So basically, her ‘help’ got me absolutely nowhere. She didn’t even try to make any suggestions as to what I should do. Don’t put people in customer service positions if they’re unwilling or incapable of helping people in a cordial and productive manner. I certainly would not have called if I had the answers or if I knew what to do in this situation. 0/5 stars, if you don’t want to help people find a different line of work.

Just moved here. Went to get drivers license but did not have the right docs to show residency. They actually let me sit in the waiting area to try to come up with the right combo of info needed instead of just moving on to the next person which they certainly could have done. Ultimately I had to come back today with my daughter to sign an affidavit that I was living with her, but I just so appreciated the effort they put out to help in any way they could. Thank you for such a warm Coeur D Alene welcome. This just validates why I moved here.

Good luck getting the mandatory star card. After 3 trips and numerous documents, still not enough and what they could have explained from the start or even alternate acceptable forms they don't. Seriously every marriage license, not just divorce decree, and adoption papers signed by the judge not just a birth certificate, and if your social security card is trashed you can use a W2. Why not just explain it all from the start. Is this thrilling to watch people continue to leave there upset?!
