I love their butter fish. The prices are reasonable and you can walk around while they prepare your fish.

I don't usually give low stars, but this place must be under new management. Fish and shrimp platter was over season (salty), fish (flounder) was cut in half to make three pieces. Me as a diabetic with hbp didn't won't to take a chance to be in hospital that night. Also the steam platter(mild) I had to rinse season off for my mom to eat it.. Do adjust your seasons..

Sals is an establishment that I frequent often. Have been purchasing food since day one at their first store on Broad and Fairmount Avenue. I was happy when they branched out to West Philadelphia area. To make a long story short. I purchased two platters on two consecutive weeks. One being a steamed talapia with six shrimp and the second a salmon platter. Brought platter home and the order was incorrect. I was given 2 talapia platters with six shrimps.nnWeek two the orders were the same but labeled incorrectly. I opened my platter and my friend opened his platter. We’re talking and conversing and of course, saliva is airborne and probably transferred to the platters in which is not mine and vice versa. Now I’m livid. I contact the store and requested to speak with the manager to address my concerns. Of course, Miss Ghetto mama, who probably never finished high school, who ALWAYS mess up the orders and can’t concentrate and count pass one, pop off with an attitude. I address my concern and this heifer tells me to have a nice day and hangs up the phone. Corona is my concern little girl. And another concern for you is to go back to school and learn some manners and customer service skills because you lack that too.

Its overpriced for my taste and under seasoned. I had a selection of fried items and some were not battered or cooked well. Seafood salad is over seasoned and only has imitation crab in it. On the plus side the broccoli was great. And it took at least 30 min so.... never again

I bought a Salmon platter. I found out it was so heavy because they put 4 whole regular sized baking potatoes in the platter. Really though!? The salmon was also lacking in taste as was the corn. This is NOT the Sal's on Broad St. That Sal's is much better.
