Great trail. I did this a few years ago before the bridge was fixed
First timer here! It was tough, but fun! There are a lot of good spots to camp. I would do it again! (Maybe when it's warmer)
Great place for a few day backpacking trip. Very beautiful, plenty of places to refill water.
Great loop! Climbs aren’t too strenuous. The views and streams are unparalleled. Wish the trails had better drainage and overall maintenance. Lots of laurel thickets that, when snow covered, are pretty miserable. But it didn’t keep me from having a great time!
Really nice loop. It was incredible well blazed. The trail need a bit of maintenance as there were numerous spots were I had to go pretty far off the path to get around a downed tree. Also many spots of the trail were very overgrown. I leaned to just trust the blazes as many parts of the trail did not look like a trail at all. Overall thus was a very enjoyable overnight, but and would recommend for most pepole looking for a moderate challenge.
