Every time I walk into this place, the other patrons are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The drinks are inexpensive. The adjoining restaurant has great food, also inexpensive. On occasion, they have live music.nTo join, you fill out an application and pay a small annual fee. ($10 or $15 -- I don't remember exactly). The club's board actually has a formal vote on every applicant, and you're not a member until you're voted in. This is how the club stays in compliance with the laws of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, so you can't blame the club for that.nIf they had a no-smoking section, it would get five stars. But it doesn't, and most of my friends won't go there because of that. So, only four stars.nThere are tables far away from the bar, and if you sit there, the smoke will be faint. But no, I can't promise 'no trace of smoke.'
This place is awesome a relaxed private club with an engaged community focus that supports the fire company and provides a inexpensive local watering hole.
