DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR ANY RENOVATION, BIG OR SMALL, NO MATTER WHAT HE PROMISES!! The address listed as his business (23 West Market st) on his sight is not even correct. On his web page he claims to be BBB accredited which is lie. He claims to give a discount to military vets as a Thank you for serving....well he screwed this vet over royally. He has no honor, no integrity and is a straight up LIAR!!nIn 2014 Deboards Renovations owner John Deboards was hired by me to build a tool shed beneath my existing open deck for $2000. Upon completion of the shed I expressed my displeasure of how the roof was done. John Deboards ensured me that if there was any issues he would return to take care of it. The first major rain saw leakage from the roof into the shed in several areas. I had to remove everything from the shed and place it in my finished basement. I contacted Deboards and he arranged a date to fix the leaks...he never showed. I spent the next several weeks attempting to contact him, leaving message after message. Finally, 4-5 weeks later John Deboards happens to answer my call. He apologizes and gives me a bunch of excuses as to why he never called me back and sets another date to fix the leaks in the shed roof....again he doesn't show up. I spend the next several months attempting to reach John Deboards to no avail. In April of 2015 by chance John answers one of my calls. After more excuses he promises to take care of the leaks and arranges another date....once again no show. I have files a BBB complaint against Deboards Renovations. The BBB attempted to contact John Deboards on 3 separate occasions to try and resolve this complaint but he never responded to them.
